Unheated sapphires
Unheated is a claim that needs a document. Listings below carry the value UNHEATED from the supplier; those with a report attached are labelled documented, the rest supplier-reported.

Why the label matters
Heat treatment is permanent, stable and widely accepted, but an unheated stone of comparable colour usually commands a premium. Because heating can be subtle, the trade relies on laboratory testing to state 'no indications of heating'. We never convert a supplier's unheated value into a documented claim on their behalf.
Reading the certificate field
When a listing shows a lab and report number, the report link is available on the detail page and in the API response. Check the report's own wording; some labs use different phrasing for heat, and a report can predate later treatment.
